Check with your doctor, get him to write a new prescription for the compression socks and buy them from a store that carries socks from a company called Sigvaris. They are a little more expensive (around $75/pair) but so worth it. My and my husband’s compression socks from them are “machine wash cold, tumble dry on low”

Designing a low-water garden feels so rewarding, and supporting local wildlife is a bonus! By the way, if you ever need to stock up on planting supplies or organic soil amendments, I highly recommend exploring Suplery for hassle-free inventory management and free delivery directly from suppliers.

We eat a lot of that ham. I take them to church and when we have a dinner, they’re great to send home with people who want leftovers.

Comment on 7 Colors Not To Use When Painting a Small Room by Sylvia Carlson https://craftycaptain.com/advice/64046280/2023/01/colors-not-to-use-when-painting-a-small-room/#comment-7617 Sat, 13 Sep 2025 04:16:19 +0000 https://craftycaptain.com/?p=1013534#comment-7617 In reply to Brent Renner.

Don’t paint a small room, whether it’s a living room, dining room, or bathroom with dark colors. It will only make that room look smaller. Use light colors…it will open it up and make it seem larger.

Comment on 7 Clever Hacks With Aluminum Foil by Michelle Ogle https://craftycaptain.com/advice/30725804/2025/03/aluminum-foil/#comment-7198 Sat, 12 Apr 2025 01:40:33 +0000 https://craftycaptain.com/?p=1017536#comment-7198 I have used the foil for celery hack and the scissors sharpening hack. The celery one is fantastic! Wrap the celery in a layer of paper towels first, then the aluminum foil. The celery is as crispy after a couple of weeks as it was the day it went in. I’m a believer. The scissors is a good one, but if they don’t sharpen as you like, a friend told me to “cut” a drinking glass. That seems to work a bit better.

Will make things much easier for my husband to find when I ask him to take something out of the freezer for me.

The folk that make money off of telling others how their bathrooms should look. I agree with the person before that stated that she does it as she wants it. The designers all need to make money, what better way than to keep telling everyone else how “out of date” their houses and bathrooms are so that they can then tell them what glorious designs they can produce for them at outrageous sums of money?
